Estes Park Local is a guide to the Estes valley for the people who visit it and the people who live in it. It covers where to eat, where to go, where to stay, where to shop, and who to call when something breaks at 7,500 feet.
Every business in the valley is listed for free, from public records and the business's own information. Two editors, Jan Willis and Marcus Sharpe, write the guides and choose the short lists. Nobody pays to be on a short list, and nobody can pay to be taken off one.

The editors
"Treat this place like you love it, because the people who live here do."
Jan Willis is an editor at Estes Park Local, a children's book author, poet, and found-object artist. Born in Denver, she has spent her whole life in the Front Range, from Boulder ski seasons to Jeep trails above treeline, and has called Estes Park home for seven years. She writes about the town the way locals actually live it: when to go, where to skip, and what's worth protecting.

Marcus Sharpe is a cabinetmaker by trade and a handyman by necessity, which is how he's paid the rent in more than twenty small towns between Jacksonville and the Continental Divide. He lives in Allenspark now, runs Sharpe Services, and writes the Who to Call and Where to Eat sections of Estes Park Local. He likes a straight quote, a good steak, and a dog, not always his own.

Blair Witkowski is the publisher of Estes Park Local. He has family in the valley, visits several times a year, and pays for his own meals. By day he runs a marketing agency in South Carolina. The directory is run separately, and its picks and reviews are never for sale.
