About
A steep, odd-shaped lot is where a custom design earns its fee, and John Dengler & Associates draws each house around the lot and the owner's program. The firm is small, based in Fort Collins, and has been designing since 1982 along the Front Range and in mountain towns including Estes Park, Steamboat Springs, Winter Park, Keystone and Durango.
Interiors and exteriors are designed together, with the aim of flow from inside to out while respecting the site. Remodels and additions are on the list as well as new homes.
Commercial work runs from offices to medical and retail buildings, with a stated goal of making them experiential, and the firm has a track record with apartment and condominium buildings. A first consultation produces a plan for the remodel, addition or new house. The office keeps weekday hours.
