Trailblazer Broadband

About

Fiber to the house, run by the Town itself: Trailblazer is the municipal broadband service out of Estes Park Power & Communications, and its office is on Woodstock Drive near the fairgrounds, next to Shepard Plumbing & Heating. That makes it a utility rather than a company, with the same local support people already know from the power side.

Speed and reliability are what people bring up first, and the installers get credit for careful work. Plans cover homes and businesses, with hosted VoIP phone, streaming TV options, managed whole-home Wi-Fi and a landlord program for rentals, which matters to anyone whose guests judge a cabin by its Wi-Fi.

Getting connected starts with registering an address; once service reaches the property, the fiber team calls to schedule an install. The rollout has come in phases, so check the construction schedule before counting on it for a move-in date. Phone support runs around the clock, holidays included.
