Green Hills Sod Farm

About

Three generations of Markhams have grown sod on the same farm in Berthoud, starting with five acres Glenn Markham planted; Shane Markham runs it now. The turf is cut fresh, and the delivery area reaches up to Estes Park, so this is a Front Range farm that comes up the hill rather than a local outfit.

Pick it up at the farm, have it delivered, or have the crew lay it once the ground is prepped. The Colorado Backyard Blend is the main grass, sold with seed and starter fertilizer. The quality of the grass and how fast installs go are what people mention. End cuts sell at half price to a first-come waitlist, which makes sense for patching a yard. The office keeps morning hours, so call early.
