About
Rannveig Aamodt grew up on a farm in Norway, once spent three winter months on a ski traverse of that country, and has lived in Estes Park since 2009. Her studio on 3rd Street is a wedding and portrait business, and she holds the permit to shoot inside Rocky Mountain National Park, which matters more than most couples realize until they try to book someone.
Weddings are the bulk of the work and what people mention first. Beyond that she shoots families, maternity and newborns, headshots, school portraits, corporate work and events, with albums and online proofing available. Her husband, Nathan Welton, is also a wedding photographer, and the two team up on larger shoots.
She describes a lifelong fixation on how color changes with the light, which is about the right obsession for someone working in the Park. The studio serves the Northern Front Range and also works remotely.
