Getting kids to look natural in front of a camera is most of the battle, and this studio's way with children is the thing that stands out. Sessions feel relaxed and fun, and the results lean candid rather than posed, which is the whole idea: real moments between family members, shot outdoors in mountain locations.

The photographer has shot full time in Estes since 2006 and has won awards, with memberships in groups including the Professional Photographers of America and the Wedding Photojournalism Association. Weddings, family reunions, environmental portraits, corporate headshots and dating-profile pictures are all on the list, and canvas prints are available. The base is out toward the Fall River entrance, about five miles from downtown.
