Old Hollywood is the specialty. Meghi Tornquist, a licensed cosmetologist with more than a decade behind the chair, does vintage 1940s and 1950s hair and makeup, and she lives the part: rockabilly pinup style, car shows and all.

Day to day it's a full-service chair for women, men and children, with cuts, color, nails, and bridal and special event hair and makeup. She works out of Shear Magic Day Spa on North Lake Avenue, under half a mile from Lake Estes Marina, and has lived in Estes Park for 31 years. The chair is openly LGBTQ and trans friendly, and she'll travel to a venue for a mileage fee from Estes Park.

Book online and book early; walk-ins are limited and the chair isn't open many days a week. The cancellation policy has teeth: half the fee if you reschedule within 48 hours, the full fee for a no-show.
