About

Moving a parent up to Estes, or retiring here yourself, the Senior Citizens Center on Olympian Lane is worth knowing early. It sits just northeast of Ace Hardware and Estes Valley Collision, about a mile and a half from downtown. Ace and the collision shop make easy landmarks the first time out.

The center has been part of town for decades and recently moved into a permanent building with dedicated space of its own. The move meant rebuilding the schedule, with older activities coming back and new ones being added, so the calendar keeps shifting. Check it before going.

Events are what people bring up most. Lunch menus are posted along with the activities, and membership is an annual fee that runs on the calendar year, so it pays off for people who plan to keep coming back. Ann Mueller, the coordinator, is the person to ask about what is running this month.
