Animal Hospital of the Rockies

About

When a dog eats something it shouldn't, this is the practice to call. It is the only veterinary office in Estes Park offering emergency services, though availability is checked by phone first. Keep the number handy before a hike with the dog.

Day to day it is a full practice for dogs and cats: exams and vaccinations, dental cleanings, health screenings and fecal exams, and it works with guide dogs. Appointments are needed, and new clients are taken. Purina food and pharmacy items can be delivered to the house.

Boarding is the big draw beyond the medicine. Dog and cat boarding and doggy day care run on site, and the staff are remembered as genuinely caring, down to the blankets. It is on Pine River Lane, next to Estes Park Brewery and half a mile from downtown. Cats and other pets can board too, and owners are welcome to stop by and look around before leaving an animal.
