Estes Park Webcams

About

Estes Park Webcams is a website, not a spot you can stand on. It streams more than 20 live cams around the valley and Rocky Mountain National Park. I'd check it from the couch before I commit to a drive up Trail Ridge.

The site is free and carries live and time-lapse video from Estes Park and nearby, including cameras at Rocky Mountain National Park spots like the Alpine Visitor Center, Beaver Meadows, the Continental Divide and Longs Peak. It also links weather, air quality, local news and emergency resources like a police and fire scanner and evacuation maps. It's a private site, and the page doesn't say who runs it, so treat it as a convenience and not an official source.

I use cams to answer one question: is it worth the drive? Mountain weather can turn in an hour, and a cam beats guessing. If the Longs Peak cam is socked in, I'm picking a lower trail. For road closures, fire restrictions or anything safety related, go to the official sources: the Park, the Town, and the fire district. A webcam can be stale or down, and a pretty picture doesn't mean the road is open. Plan your day around the sky, not the app.
