Down Highway 7 in Allenspark, about eleven miles south of downtown Estes, Wild Basin Lodge does one thing: all-inclusive weddings on a 14-acre property. There are two places to say the vows, one facing the mountains and one beside the river, and a 15,000-square-foot lodge holds the reception. An in-house chef cooks.

Couples tend to remember the ceremony in the meadow, the first dance down by the river, and the llamas, which turn up in more wedding stories here than anyone would guess. The planning side gets as much credit as the scenery: vendor recommendations, budgeting help and a day that runs on schedule. There is a honeymoon suite for the couple and a photo booth mirror for everyone else at the reception.

Tours are by appointment. Anniversary parties, birthdays and school events are on the list too, but weddings are the business. Ask about catering, florals and a day-of plan when you call, and count on the big lodge as the fallback when mountain weather turns.
