A 1909 Stanley Steamer car is parked indoors at Steamers Cafe, and the room is built around it: polished brass, warm wood and old memorabilia. The cafe is inside The Stanley Chocolate Factory on West Elkhorn, next to The Stanley Creamery and a block from Bond Park.
Hot chocolate is the obvious order given the building, but the espresso, specialty mochas and teas hold up, and there are seasonal drinks too. And there's a full bar, which is not standard issue for a coffee counter. Service is quick, takeout is easy, and rooftop and outdoor seats are there when the weather allows. Live music turns up, and the kids' menu means nobody gets left out.
