At Moraine Avenue and Mary's Lake Road, on the way out toward Beaver Meadows, this locally owned grocery is where a lot of hiking days start with a made-to-order sandwich. The deli counter is the main event, and the people behind it are friendly about the line, which counts for something on a busy summer morning. The turkey sandwich is the classic order.

The shelves cover what a cabin or campsite runs short of: organic produce, meats and cheeses, local foods, s'mores fixings, firewood, propane and ice. There's espresso and ice cream too, and it opens early enough for a sunrise start. The Estes Park Laundracenter is next door, and Instacart and Uber Eats handle delivery.
