Twelve local women, some from the valley's history and some still living, are honored by this public monument on East Elkhorn, right at the Riverwalk and a few steps from Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant. Each one earned her place with a story of her own. Reading through them takes a few minutes, which makes it an easy stop with kids, and Dairy Queen is just down the block for the bribe afterward.
