Feet get unusual attention. The foot scrubs, soaks and the Sacred Lotus Foot Ritual come up nearly as often as the massages, and the zero gravity chairs make a strong case for themselves. Hot stone work, facials and a far infrared sauna blanket fill out the menu, and packages like Sweethearts Soak & Sip and Hot Chocolate on the Rocks come in single or side-by-side versions.

Many treatments are developed in house, and some of the products are made there too. Appointments are required, so book before the trip rather than after the hike. The same property holds Estes River Retreat, a newly built vacation home that rents year-round, for anyone who wants the spa and the bed in one place.
