About
Rick Martinez came camping in Rocky Mountain National Park in September 2013, got held in Estes Park by the flood, and stayed. Before that came a long career in video production, satellite teleconferencing and photography. Now he runs Rocky Mountain Journeys: sunrise, star and wildlife tours, photography classes, workshops and private sessions, with Nikon gear as his specialty.
Trips come in two levels. Easy means a drive to each spot and short walks; moderate mixes driving with hikes of two to three miles at most. Bring a digital camera, ideally one with interchangeable lenses, and a tripod, and expect plans to bend around weather and road conditions. A liability waiver is part of signing up.
