Hats are the reason to walk into Sports Hound, and there are a lot of them. The racks on West Elkhorn cover the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and college teams, which makes it one of the last shops around carrying all of them under one roof. Jerseys and trading cards come up nearly as often as the caps, and the general verdict is cool stuff.
It sits next to Buckles of Estes and Toy Mountain, a block from Bond Park, so it slots easily into a downtown loop. Visitors who forgot a team cap, or want one from home while far from it, usually find their team here. Gifts and memorabilia fill in the rest of the shelves. Quick in, quick out, and a good place to park a sports fan while the rest of the group shops next door.
