Two miles out of town on Highway 66, Elk Meadow RV Park is a place to park the rig and still be a short drive from downtown, Bond Park and Mary's Lake. Dogs are welcome. The location is the point most people make first, and the mountain views come right after it.
Helpful staff come up often, and so does live music, rock bands included, which is worth knowing before you book, whichever way you lean on that. The amenities get a mention too. Summer is the busy season in Estes, and RV sites close to town go early, so reserving ahead is the safer plan. In the quieter months the elk that give the place its name are more likely to be your neighbors than other campers.
