About
Up Fall River Road, a couple of miles west of downtown and about five minutes from the Fall River entrance, Blackhawk keeps ten log cabins on roughly an acre. Pine paneling, fireplaces, kitchens. It is old-school on purpose, and nobody is pretending it is a resort.
The shared hot tub by the river is the thing guests bring up most, followed closely by the fireplaces and kitchens stocked well enough to actually cook in. There is a fire pit for evenings, and coffee on the patio is the morning routine. Bathrooms have been updated without losing the cabin feel, and the cabins come across as clean and well looked after rather than polished.
Every cabin has river access, but only cabins 1 and 2 sit right beside the water, so ask for one of those if the river matters. Pets are accepted. Stonebrook Resort is the next property over, which helps when finding the turn in the dark.
