Cold nights and older cabins make insulation and drywall two of the more useful trades in the valley. Only 3 of the 13 companies listed are based in Estes Park, and the valley names here lean toward drywall and painting. Most of the insulation crews come up from Loveland and Fort Collins.
I would sort out the insulation and air sealing in a cold mountain house before the finish work. And have the drywall patch done by someone who can match the texture, or you will see it every winter evening.
Based in Estes Park
A popcorn ceiling, a patched wall that never matched, a basement left half finished: that is the territory North Pro Finish covers. The work is drywall from board to paint.
Interior and exterior painting, door painting and drywall repair make up the whole menu at Drywall & Painting R&J, a small Estes Park crew with ten years in the trade. There's no shop to walk into.
Up in Glen Haven, about six miles past the Stanley, Whitlock Custom Furniture works from Crosier Mountain Trail, a few steps from White Elk's Visions in Glass and the Inn of Glen Haven. It builds furniture to order and keeps long hours most days.
Serves Estes Park from the Front Range
A house repaint, a stained fence and a finished basement usually mean three different contractors. Elite Custom Painting & Remodel, based in Fort Collins, does all of it and counts Estes Park in its Northern Colorado service area, so the crew drives up the canyon.
When the upstairs stays cold all winter, the attic is usually the first place to look. Koala Insulation of NoCo is the Loveland outpost of a national insulation brand, and it comes up to Estes.
Popcorn ceilings, a tired deck, a whole exterior baked by mountain sun: That 1 Painter's Boulder crew takes on all of it, along with cabinets, limewash and brick. The company is based in Boulder and comes up to Estes for jobs.
Spraying foam in a cramped crawlspace is nobody's favorite job, and it's one Distinctive Spray Foam gets specific credit for. The company insulates attics, walls, roofs and crawl spaces across Northern Colorado with open-cell and closed-cell spray foam, plus blown-in insulation, and Estes Park is on its service list.
Drafty old cabins and cold floors over crawl spaces are the kind of job Insulation Pros of Colorado drives up from Fort Collins for. Its BPI-certified crews start with an assessment and a full estimate, then work attics, walls, basements, foundations and crawl spaces, including encapsulation and vapor barriers, in blown-in cellulose, fiberglass, spray foam or rigid foam.
Paint jobs come up more than anything else with Limitless Construction, a family-run Loveland remodeler that takes on kitchens, bathrooms, basements, tile floors, decks and fences across Northern Colorado and Wyoming. Drywall, flooring, gutter cleaning and handyman work round it out, so a mixed list can go to one crew.
Woodpeckers, hail and years of mountain sun are hard on a stucco wall, and patching that damage so it disappears is the main job for Precision Plastering. The company is a Loveland stucco contractor working Northern Colorado, Denver and Cheyenne, and it comes up to Estes Park for work.
Pulling out an old tub and putting in a walk-in shower is the job Loveland Bath Pros does most, along with full bath remodels and custom tile. The company is based in Loveland, also works Fort Collins, and makes the drive up to Estes.
The owner is a second-generation painter whose father learned the trade from craftsmen working since the 1940s, and over more than thirty years the company has painted commercial buildings, farms, churches, steel tanks and hundreds of houses. It started out as Ferrell's Painting and took the Cougar Valley name in 2005, a nod to an old name for cougars: painters.
Based down in Fort Collins, Ascend Construction comes up to Estes for insulation and heating work, so ask about scheduling before counting on a quick visit. The insulation side covers attics, crawl spaces, walls, garages and basements, plus whole house fans and energy audits.

Seven list commercial work and 6 list residential. Five offer free estimates, 2 are marked licensed and 2 list 24-hour emergency calls. Not every listing is a drywall or insulation company, since Loveland Bath Pros remodels bathrooms, so check the descriptors.
