Safeway Fuel Station

About

Ethanol-free gas is the quiet selling point at the Safeway pumps on Big Thompson Avenue, a short way from the Visitor Center. Anyone running a generator or a chainsaw knows why. Diesel is sold too, there's a propane exchange, and an air station and a water station are on site along with a public restroom.

Safeway for U points come off the price per gallon, up to 25 gallons, once the phone number on the account is entered at the pump, so the grocery run pays for part of the next fill. Points work through the Safeway app as well. Cashiers are kind, the restrooms are kept clean, and the snack shelf covers a drive into the Park.
