Kevin Mullen Builds

About

A garbage disposal that hums and does nothing, a soft spot in the subfloor, a basement that needs rebuilding: these are the jobs Kevin Mullen gets called for. He is a licensed and insured handyman based about five miles out of downtown, and the list also covers drywall, trim, doors, cabinets, fixtures, bathrooms, kitchens, irrigation repair and tired decks.

The background is unusual for a handyman. Before starting his own repair business he built complex projects for a Boulder ad agency, and his trades history runs through set design and robotics, Mercedes-Benz repair, paint and repair on exotic cars, powerboats and jets, custom furniture, and chief mechanic work at country clubs. It shows in what people remember: clear explanations, creative fixes when the obvious one won't work, new lighting put in cleanly. Consultations are free.
