Lion Home Service

About

If the furnace quits at two in the morning in January, someone at Lion Home Service will pick up the phone. The company is based in Fort Collins and comes up to Estes Park, and it covers more of the house than most: heating and air, plumbing, water heaters, drains and sewer, septic, electrical and generators, plus duct cleaning and insulation.

Furnace repair and water heater installs are the jobs that come up most, with septic pumping, leak repair, and duct and dryer vent cleaning further down the list. What people remember is the tech: knowledgeable, polite, thorough, and willing to explain the problem and the options before touching anything.

Septic and boiler work are worth noting, since a lot of mountain houses run on one or both. Emergency service is available, and there are discounts for seniors, first responders, teachers and people with disabilities. The trucks come up from the plains, though, so allow for the drive.
