McLain Construction

About

On North Lake Avenue, half a mile from Lake Estes Marina, this licensed general contractor keeps its main office, next to Ponderosa Realty & Management. Commercial work and residential builds both run through the same office. It builds custom homes and commercial projects across Northern Colorado, as far as Boulder and Steamboat Springs.

Attention to detail and quality of work come up more than anything, with on-budget finishes close behind. The crew is friendly and efficient, and the craftsmanship shows on jobs as small as a garage remodel or a deck replacement, not just the luxury builds. Craftsmanship is the word that keeps coming up.

Remodeling and basement finishing, drywall, flooring, tile, interior and exterior painting and plumbing fixtures are all on the list, with project management throughout. On bigger projects the company works alongside architects and engineers. Concrete, window trim and door hardware are covered too, and exterior painting matters up here, where the sun is hard on siding.
