The Art of Mountain Living

About

Fixed-price contracts are the whole pitch at The Art of Mountain Living, a custom home builder on 4th Street, a block from Lake Estes. The total is set before work starts, and it comes with a detailed project plan meant to head off the arguments over changes and surprises that sink so many builds.

That plan is what people bring up most, followed by cost, careful detail work and the way the subcontractors and the architect are kept in step. Integrity comes up too. Beyond new homes, the company takes on remodels, kitchens and baths, additions, basement finishing and interior finishes, and it has been building for more than thirty years. Owners building from out of town tend to value a number that doesn't move.
