About

Christmas is the crunch at the Estes Park post office, when the counter runs short-handed and the line grows. The rest of the year it is a fairly painless errand. It sits on West Riverside Drive, a couple of blocks off Elkhorn and next to Cafe de Pho Thai, and handles stamps, packages, money orders, held mail and general delivery.

PO boxes are a big part of the business here, and the counter staff are patient and helpful even on bad days. Seasonal residents can have mail held for pickup, parcel lockers handle package pickup, carrier notices get collected at the counter, and local businesses can set up bulk mail and business reply accounts.
