The room does a lot of the work at Village Barbershop, an old-fashioned shop on West Elkhorn next to Big Horn Restaurant. Antiques, good music and friendly barbers make a short wait easy to sit through. It calls itself a hometown barber shop, and it acts like one.
The cuts are the traditional menu: fades, buzz and military cuts, razor cuts and longer styles, plus kids' cuts. Head shaves and shape-ups cover anyone keeping it short. Beard trims are the other thing people come in for, and the straight-razor hot towel shave is there for anyone with the time. Walk-ins are welcome, but the days open are irregular, so check before heading over.
