Moonshine is the point here, and the tasting costs nothing. Estes Park Distilling, which runs as a Full Throttle Distillery, pours samples of its flavored shines, whiskeys and vodka on West Elkhorn, no reservation needed, 21 and up with ID. Apple pie and espresso moonshine, honey whiskey, peanut butter whiskey and a peanut butter cup drink are the names people walk out repeating, though what is open to taste changes.
It shares a building with Bob and Tony's Pizza, so a slice can come along while you sip, and La Tradición is next door. Bottles, glassware, clothing, salsa and seasonings fill the shop side, and the flavor mixes sell for taking home. Groups and events can be booked.
