The whiskey list is the draw here, deep enough to have its own bar inside the Stanley Hotel. Dinner is a traditional steakhouse: the filet is the usual order, with bison, trout, pork belly and lobster bisque, and the whipped potatoes on the side. Meatloaf and chicken cordon bleu are the comfort picks.

Mornings run to brunch, with shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy and a candied bacon Bloody Mary. The room is historic and priced on the expensive side, with a fireplace, live music some nights and a patio where dogs are allowed. It's also one of the few kitchens in town open late, which helps after an evening at the Stanley runs long.
