The cheesecake is the order that keeps coming up at this small bakery on East Elkhorn, by the Riverwalk and next to Rocky Mountain SereniTea. Cinnamon rolls, carrot cake, red velvet, hand pies and cupcakes follow close behind, all baked from scratch. Cream puffs, scones, muffins and coffee cake fill out the case, and cakes come by the slice or whole.

Vicki, a private chef and caterer with more than 25 years in kitchens, started it as a wholesale bakery before opening the retail counter. Wedding cakes, custom and ice-cream cakes, dessert tables and charcuterie boards make up the order side, along with catered breakfast buffets. Custom orders go through an online form or a phone call.

It is a morning place and not open every day, so check before you go. Coffee is on hand, prices are low, and everything is takeout. Weddings, holiday spreads and family gatherings make up much of the custom work.
