The salsa is what people talk about first, chips and salsa included, and the margaritas are the other half of the conversation. Fajitas, carne asada and chimichangas lead the plates, and getting seated is usually quick, even when the deck is full and the bar is busy with margaritas.
The room has two levels and an outdoor deck facing the mountains, and the deck is where everyone wants to be in summer. It's on Big Thompson Avenue, about a mile and a half from downtown, next to Longhorn Liquor Mart. Takeout works for a night back at the cabin, and the same kitchen runs a mobile catering business. Plain Mexican food and a good drink, without much ceremony.
