Safeway

About

If you're stocking a rental for the week, this is the full-size grocery in town, on Wonderview a short way below the Stanley Hotel. Beyond the aisles there's a deli, a bakery that does custom cakes, a pharmacy, a florist, propane exchange and a fuel station, and a Starbucks sits next door.

It gets busy in summer, and long checkout lines are the common gripe, so the self checkout lanes earn their keep. Staff get credit for staying friendly and helpful through the rush, and the store is kept clean. Online orders for delivery or DriveUp & Go pickup skip the lines entirely, and it stays open late enough for an after-dinner run.
