Waffles built to carry are the whole idea here, sweet enough to count as dessert and solid enough to count as lunch. It is a farmers market vendor, set up on Thursdays at 500 Big Thompson Avenue, a block or so from the Visitor Center, and it works a morning shift only. Everything goes out as takeout.
It draws plenty of visitors and works as well for one person as for a group grabbing a quick bite on the way to the trail. Regulars can join the WFF rewards program, which makes you a Waffel Friend, more or less officially. The same crew caters weddings, retreats and reunions, and the way to start is an email.
