About

Just down Fish Hatchery Road from the Fall River entrance to the park, the Historic Fall River Hydroplant is a seasonal museum built around the old hydroelectric plant. The history is the draw, along with the tour, and there is a theater space inside. It is part of the town's Estes Park Museum, and it sits right beside O'Connor Pavilion.

It is easy with kids and a manageable length for a family on the way into the park. Being seasonal, it keeps a short calendar, so check that it is open before planning around it. The Fall River Visitor Center is close by, which makes the two a natural pair on a morning headed up Fall River Road.
