About

Baldwin Park is a small riverside park off West Riverside Drive with a playground, picnic tables and a fishing bridge. Skip it if you want a big trail. Come for a quiet lunch by the water and a place to let the kids run.

The Town of Estes Park maintains Riverside Park, also called Baldwin Park, about 60,000 square feet off West Riverside Drive. It has river frontage, a playground, picnic tables, benches, trees and flowers, plus a fishing bridge and parking. It also connects to the Riverwalk, a quarter mile path that follows the Fall River and the Big Thompson River past other town parks.

Honestly, it's a sit-down spot more than a destination. I'd grab food downtown, walk over and eat by the river while the kids use the playground. It's a good reset when the sidewalks on Elkhorn feel crowded. Keep your voice down near the water and pack out your trash. If you're fishing, check the Colorado Parks and Wildlife rules first. The Town's park page doesn't list dog rules, so call the Town to confirm before you bring yours.
