About
Bond Park is the town's front lawn, next to Town Hall off Elkhorn Avenue. It's where the festivals, concerts and art fairs happen. On a quiet day it's a bench, a mountain view, and a break from the sidewalk.
Bond Park is about 46,000 square feet beside Town Hall, a short walk from the Visitor Center. There are picnic tables and benches, and the Town uses it for festivals, concerts and art fairs. Elk Fest and the Cowboy Singalong series have both been held here. Parking downtown can be tight and some lots are paid, so the free town shuttle is the easier way in.
I'd come on an event day for the energy, or on an ordinary weekday morning for the calm. Bring a blanket for a summer concert, or just a coffee and a bench. During a big festival the whole downtown fills up, so walk in from wherever you can park and don't fight for a spot. Check the Town's event calendar before you plan your day around it. The Town doesn't list dog rules on its parks page, so ask before bringing yours to an event.
