Estes Park Dog Park

About

The Estes Valley Dog Park is a fenced off-leash park with two sections, agility gear and lake access for swimming. It's the place to send a dog that needs to burn off a Park day spent in the car. Bring your own water bowl.

Find it at the southeast corner of Highway 36 and Community Drive. It has two large fenced sections with gated access to the lake, agility equipment, digging and fetch areas, poop bags and trash cans, and free parking next to the park. There's a separate section for smaller dogs under 30 pounds. The Estes Valley Recreation and Park District runs it.

It's unmonitored, so you're the referee. Watch your dog, clean up after them, and leave if things get tense. Water bowls are not always filled, so bring your own. Remember that dogs can't go on Rocky Mountain National Park trails, which is exactly why this place is useful. Take a morning here, then a leashed walk somewhere dog friendly, and everyone sleeps well. For rules and hours, call the District.
