About

Many Parks Curve is a hairpin pullout on Trail Ridge Road where the mountains open up and you can see the meadows laid out below. Park, step out, take your time. It's the easiest big view in the area.

Many Parks Curve is a pullout along Trail Ridge Road, inside Rocky Mountain National Park, at about 9,640 feet. It's a drive-up stop with parking, no hike required. From the wall you look over Moraine Park, Upper Beaver Meadows and Horseshoe Park. The name makes sense once you know that in old mountain talk, a park is a low-land meadow, and here you see several at once. The road is closed west of here from mid-October to Memorial Day, per NPS, so check the park before you plan a fall trip.

I'd come early in the morning or near sunset, when the meadows have shadows and the elk are out. Midday in summer it's packed and the pullout is tight. Altitude is real here, so go slow and drink water. Keep your distance from any wildlife that wanders by, because it's the law. Pets are allowed only along roads and in parking areas, on a leash, so Fido can see the view from the car.
