About

It is the only stable inside Rocky Mountain National Park, off Sprague Lake Road at Glacier Creek, and the two-hour trail ride is the one most people book. That ride is the easy trail, meant for beginners and kids, with creek crossings, some rocky footing and calm horses matched to each rider.

Longer rides go further: a three-hour medium trail for ages 14 and up, then five, six and eight-hour advanced rides on steep ground that are not for beginners. Riders must be at least six, and there is a weight limit. Guides talk through the country as they go, and the pace stays relaxed enough to take in the views.

The practical bonus is that every ride includes Park Access+, which covers timed entry for the Park and the Bear Lake corridor, so no separate reservation is needed. This is a summer operation, and the stable closes for the season in September.
