Framed wildlife and Park scenery fill most of the walls at Wild Spirits, an art gallery, gift shop and custom framing shop on West Elkhorn near Toy Mountain. The work comes from several local photographers and from nationally known artists, with Rocky Mountain National Park and the country around it as the main subject.

Past the framed pieces, the stock runs to prints, canvas, ceramic tiles, figurines, pebble art, slates, vases, jewelry and metal work like candle holders, with a western streak through much of it. Horses get a section of their own, and the figurines and gift items cover anyone not shopping for wall art.

Shipping is the practical reason to know about the place. Large pieces don't have to ride home in the back seat, and the shipping, framing and picture selection are what people mention most. There is a web store as well, for the piece you kept thinking about all the way down the canyon.
