A few steps from Bond Park on East Elkhorn, right next to Laura's Fine Candies, this shop is about one thing: salt water taffy, soft, and in more flavors than anyone needs. A quick stop, in and out, with a bag for the drive.

Salted caramel is the flavor that keeps coming up, with vanilla bean, watermelon and root beer float close behind, and the cherry candy has its own following. Bag your own mix by flavor or color. Caramels are the other half of the business, and Bret Bars and fudge round it out. Everything is made in Colorado from a family recipe.

The same family owns Laura's next door, plus the Danish Cone Factory and Hayley's Homemade Ice Cream, so a sugar crawl down Elkhorn stays in the family. When the bag from the trip runs out, taffy and caramels ship from the online store, and the shop also does wedding favors, corporate gifts and holiday sets. Open Sundays.
