Ten room types fill this motel on Big Thompson Avenue, from plain one-bed rooms up to suites with Jacuzzis, fireplaces and balconies. The beds are comfortable, rooms have minifridges and some have DVD players, and breakfast is included, delivered to the room if you ask, and curbside check-in skips the lobby altogether.

The grounds do more than most motels bother with: a hot tub, a pool, a fire pit and shuffleboard, and elk sightings come up more than once. Cleaning gets unusual attention, with electrostatic spraying and a HEPA air filter in every room. It's about a mile from downtown, toward Lake Estes, which puts it off the main drag but close to everything that matters on a short trip.
