About

Ten cabins line the edge of the Big Thompson out on Highway 66, close enough to the water that they had to be grandfathered in. A few of them started life inside the Park and were moved here.

The hot tubs are the draw. Select cabins have one facing the river, and between those, the riverside fire pits and the sound of the water, the place stays quiet. The muffins come up more often than you'd expect for a spot where check-in is fully automated and nobody hands over a key.

Every cabin has a full kitchen and its own propane grill, plus Wi-Fi and a smart TV, and linens, cookware, condiments and toiletries are supplied. Some cabins take dogs, so check the dog-friendly list before booking. The Beaver Meadows entrance is under two miles up the road, close enough for an early start and back in the tub by afternoon. Bring groceries; the kitchen is the point.
