Solitude Cabins & Lodge

About

Down Sketch Box Lane, under a mile from Lake Estes, nine private acres of pines hold 45 standalone two-bedroom cabins and a seven-room lodge. Each cabin runs about 1,200 square feet with two king beds, two baths, a gas fireplace, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer and a deck with its own grill. Owners furnish their own, so no two look quite alike.

Elk and mule deer come through often enough that the deck becomes the best seat in the place. Parking is on site and downtown traffic stays somewhere else. A 40-guest Gathering Room and the lodge rooms make it workable for a reunion, there's a shared hot tub, and The Wolf Rentals handles management.
