Prescriptions come with a familiar face at Rocky Mountain Pharmacy, an independent store on East Wonderview that has been locally owned since 1993. Greg Barton owns it, and it's a short walk from the Stanley.
The counter is friendly, cashier included, and staff will steer a visitor toward the right thing for a migraine, an upset stomach or a turned ankle. Knee braces, wheelchairs, compression wear and diabetic supplies are stocked. It also compounds, gives vaccines with walk-in hours, delivers, synchronizes refills and takes old medications for disposal. Diabetes education, medication therapy management, women's health consultations and help during Medicare open enrollment round it out.
It's next door to Estes Park Pet Supply and open weekends, which matters when a refill runs out on a Saturday. The house Rocky Mountain High creams and apparel are popular around town. A photo printing kiosk and COVID home tests sit on the shelves too, and refills can be handled through an app.
