The cinnamon rolls are why people make the drive out to Glen Haven, and nearly everyone leaves with a box. They come warm, with cinnamon honey butter if you want it. The store sits in the middle of the tiny community on Devils Gulch Road, County Road 43, about six and a half miles from downtown and next to the Inn of Glen Haven.

Sandwiches go on homemade buns, either build-your-own or the Belly Buster, and the fudge and cherry cobbler have their own following. There is coffee, ice cream, cold drinks and a shelf of gifts and souvenirs. The store has served the area for about a century, and it still runs that way: casual, with limited water and bathrooms.

Six or more rolls need to be ordered by the afternoon before, by phone or online, so a group should plan a day ahead. Hours are short and lean toward weekends. Check before making the drive.
