About

Scones with clotted cream are the thing people remember here. They arrive on a three-tier stand with tea sandwiches, homemade desserts and an unlimited pot of tea, and afternoon tea is served all day, which takes the pressure off timing. The room is on Park Lane, next to Prospect Bistro, a short walk from Bond Park and the Riverwalk.

Not everyone wants the full tea. Brunch and lunch cover paninis, soup and salad, and gluten-free diners do well. The patio has a mountain view, and a charcuterie and tapas hour fills the gap late in the afternoon.

Birthdays come up a lot, and the room takes private parties, showers and reunions. Reservations are recommended, so book ahead in summer. The loose tea is blended and packed locally under the Rocky Mountain SereniTEA name, which means the pot you liked can go home in a bag. A sister tea room, The Duchess, is down in Fort Collins.
