The maple bacon twist is the pastry people tell friends about. The Spice Rack, out on Highway 66 under two miles from the Beaver Meadows entrance, bakes everything from scratch and runs mornings only. Scones, danishes and a twice-baked croissant are the other regulars, and the case also holds bearclaws, custard and lemon pastries, cinnamon twists, cream cheese squares and savory pastries. Add a cold brew. It is all takeout, and early is better.
