The creek behind the patio is why people linger at this coffee shop on East Elkhorn, next to Colorado Games Company. The coffee is organic, the espresso bar is full, and the lattes and a Mexican mocha are the drinks that come up, with avocado toast and sandwiches for breakfast.

Staff friendliness comes up even more than the water. The room is light, floored in bamboo and easy to work from on a laptop, and it opens early enough for a morning start. Dogs are welcome on the patio. The beans are sold by the bag and by subscription too, including the Bear Lake, Rocky Mountain Roast and Longs Peak blends, and mobile orders can be picked up curbside.
