Al pastor is the house taco: pork slow-roasted with pineapple, chiles and spices, the way owner Ericka Santana says it is done on the streets of Mexico. But the tacos people talk about most are the street tacos, the carnitas and the birria, with asada fries and tamales not far behind.

The menu runs wider than it needs to. Quesabirria, birria ramen, tortas, chalupas, a Longs Peak fajita platter, mole, and a real seafood side with oysters, shrimp cocktail, fish tacos and mojarra. There is an elk burger for the one person at the table who did not want Mexican.

It is on West Elkhorn next to Lonigans, with a full bar for margaritas and a back patio where dogs are welcome. Service is quick, there is a kids' menu, and takeout works when the patio is full. Breakfast is on the menu too, burritos and chilaquiles, handy before a Park day.
